Swede women 0-2 over the weekend

YORK, Neb. — Bethany College’s women’s basketball team struggled offensively over the weekend in losing a pair of games in the York Classic to drop to 0-4 on the season.

On Friday, the Swedes lost 69-51 to Southwestern Christian College. Freshman Ashton Burdick topped the Swedes with 14 points. Kimi Lindshield chipped in with 11 points and Samm Ashida added 10.

In the 66-58 loss to Valley Center State on Saturday, Tehya Peters was on fire with 26 points and Ashida scored 20 as they did most of the scoring. 

Bethany will be seeking its first win on Thursday when it opens KCAC play at county rival McPherson College.
