The curtain on McPherson High fall sports was dropped on Friday as the football season came to an end with a second-round playoff loss to Maize South.

But today the sports move inside as it’s the official opening of winter practices.

McPherson High’s boys and girls basketball teams begin, as does boys swimming and wrestling, which according to Bullpup coach Doug Kretzer will feature at least a dozen girls.

The MHS bowling team doesn’t have tryouts until later as its season doesn’t start until January.
