This week is American Educators Week! On behalf of the McPherson Education Association, Rebecca Pflughoeft, an educator at the McPherson Middle School, offered the McPherson school board a video tribute sponsored by the National Education Association, which said, in part:

“This November, let’s take the opportunity to think about not what divides us, but what unites us as a nation. In schools all across the country, educators work every day to help our students learn, grow, and achieve. And for one week a year, we take time to honor them for all they do.”

American Educators Week runs through the end of this week. So take a moment to thank a teacher, a bus driver, crosswalk guard, a custodian, school nurse, a server in the cafeteria…  and anyone else who makes education in our schools possible!
