DENVER — Mariah Fredericks’ goal in the 101st minute gave Colorado Christian College a 1-0 women’s soccer victory over Central Christian College on Wednesday in the NCCAA Regional.
The game featured tremendous goal-tending, as CCC’s Goldie Bougher was under siege all day, coming up with 9 saves.
Now all the Tigers can do is wait.
They are 12-7-1 on the season and hoping for an at-large berth to the national tournament, just as they received last year.
“We may not have any games on our schedule at the moment, but we're hoping that our resume will merit an at-large bid to the national tournament,” CCC coach Scott Fogarty said. “We play in arguably the toughest region in the country, with four teams ranked in the Top 10, and have gone toe-to-toe with the second- and sixth-ranked teams and only losing both by a single goal."
