ECJH cagers impressive in sweep

ELYRIA — Elyria Christian School’s A-boys basketball team made it two wins in a row on Thursday by clamping down on Rural Vista, 45-18.

The Eagles were in lockdown mode, sprinting to a 31-7 halftime lead. Nearly half of Rural Vista’s points came in the fourth quarter.

Josef Hobson led the Eagles with 16 points and Ben Unruh chipped in with 12.

The Eagles won the B-team game, 19-13. Keyan Wiggins’ 7 points led ECJH.

There was even a C-game, as Elyria was a 16-4 victor. Alec Huddle, Jonathan Dossett and Sam Weaver all scored 4 points.

Elyria A (45) — Aroum 3, Stucky 2, Unruh 12, Anderson 8, Hobson 16, Peters 2, Redenbaugh 2.

Elyria B (13) — Allen 6, Wiggins 7, Huddle 4, Weaver 2.

Elyria C (16) — Wiggins 2, Huddle 4, Dossett 4, Weaver 4, Redenbaugh 2.
