STILLWATER, Okla. — McPherson High graduate Katelyn Loecker had one of the best games of her career Thursday night to rally Oklahoma State past Loyola Marymount, 66-58.
Loecker, a former Kansas Player of the Year for the Bullpups, had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds as OSU shook off a forgettable third quarter to move to 3-0 on the season.
The Cowgirls were up 34-29 at the half, but were outscored 18-6 in the third quarter. But in the final period, O-State exploded for a 26-11 advantage.
Loecker, a senior, started and played 36 minutes. She was 3 of 7 from the field, 6 of 8 at the foul line and had 5 offensive rebounds to go along with her 7 defensive boards. She also had 4 assists and only 1 turnover.
Through three games, Loecker is averaging 9.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists a game.
