McPherson College’s basketball teams take to the road on Saturday for their second KCAC contests of the season.

The Bulldog women opened conference play with a 71-63 victory over Bethany on Thursday behind Brooklyn Coe (18 points, 10 of 14 at the line), Cami Richardson (14 points, 10 rebounds) and Kristina Battle (12 points).
The Bulldogs are 5-1 overall.
Kansas Wesleyan’s women have dominated the Bulldogs in recent years. The Coyotes are 0-1 in the KCAC as they lost to Saint Mary 96-83 despite 30 points from Jenna Farris. The Coyotes live and die by the 3-pointer and made 8 of 22 against the Spires. They are 3-4 overall on the season.
One team will get its first KCAC victory in the men’s game as Mac opened with an 83-80 loss to Bethany on Thursday despite 19 points by DeAndre Henson, while the Coyotes were defeated 87-75 by Saint Mary as Ryan Hill scored 23 points in a losing effort.
Mac is 4-1 overall and KW is 2-3.
