KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Central Christian College’s women stepped away from regular-season basketball play on Saturday by losing an 83-37 decision to NCAA Division II Rockhurst in an exhibition game that doesn’t count toward the Tigers’ record.

CCC was down 44-16 at the half as it could make just 4 of 25 shots.

Abbie Banks led Central with 12 points. All 13 Rockhurst players who suited up scored and only one played at least 20 minutes.

The Tigers play two more exhibition games that don’t count this week as they play Tuesday at UMKC in Kansas City, then head to Wichita on Thursday to play Newman University. The next game that actually counts is on Saturday when the Tigers put their 4-5 record on the line against Ozark Christian.

CCC (37) — Banks 12, Kalthoff 7, Grimaldo 6, Rhoton 6, Glessner 3, Hearne 3.

Rockhurst (83) — Harwood 3, Lowe 2, German 11, Myers 2, Dineen 13, Krissman 2, Denton 6, Grennes 7, Sebek 3, Ronshausen 12, Cindrich 7, Rock 5, Holden 10.
