KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Central Christian College’s women’s soccer team led No. 2 Campbellsville University 1-0 early, but couldn’t hang on Wednesday in a 2-1 loss in the NCCAA National Tournament.

Nikki Neal booted the Tigers into an early 1-0 lead when she scored off an Isabel Sierra pass just 12 minutes in.

Campbellsville answered less than 3 minutes later and the game stayed that way until 12 minutes to go when Jordan Stallings scored the game-winner on a penalty kick.

The loss ended CCC’s season at 12-9-1. Neal was the team’s only senior and eight of the starters were either freshmen or sophomores.

It was the second straight year CCC had qualified for the national tournament.
