McPherson High’s Jack Reifschneider was selected first-team Class 4A Division I wide receiver by The Wichita Eagle.
The paper released its state football teams on Sunday.
Bullpups earning honorable mention were Jared Ruth (offensive line), Casen Hoover (quarterback), Drew Labertew (place-kicker, defensive back), Wyatt Seidl (defensive line) and Jayse Alexander (linebacker).
Class 3A state runner-up Hesston made out like bandits. The Swathers’ Zach Vogt (receiver) and Zach Esau (defensive back) made the first team.
Also for the Swathers, honorable mention selections included Jake Wingfield (offensive, defensive line), Cameron Cox (wide receiver), Esau (quarterback), Parker Roth (running back), Zach Anderson (linebacker) and Matt Whitsitt (kicker).
For Smoky Valley in Class 4A Division II, Beck Elliott was picked as a first-team offensive lineman. Honorable mention for the Vikings were running back Kyle Anderson, offensive end Jacob Adams, defensive lineman Skyler DeMott and linebacker Riley Odell.
For Inman, receiver Lucas Barlow and kicker Taetin Winkel were 2-1A honorable mention as was defensive lineman Ethan DeWitt.
Moundridge’s Anthony Otte was honorable mention 2-1A as a kicker.
Little River had two players honored in 8-Man Division I — Peyton Harvey at receiver and Clay Zeller at quarterback.
