McPherson’s eighth-grade girls continued their dominating basketball ways here Monday with a 54-25 stoppage of Goddard Eisenhower.
Eight Bullpups scored, led by Grace Pyle with 16 points. Kassidy Beam and Emma Malm just missed doubles with 9 apiece.
“In the A-game the girls really played well and competed with great effort,” MMS coach Jay Crawford said. “We shared the ball and made plays for each other, Our defensive pressure is getting better and we are starting to understand our rotation and it is allowing us to get more steals.”
The B-team sped to a 45-7 rout behind 22 points by Kenzee Godwin and 14 more by Shelby Yowell.
“This group continues to get after teams on the defensive end of the court,” Crawford said. “Ball pressure has allowed them to get into the open court and they are finishing very well. They shared the ball very well and are getting better.”
MMS is again home Thursday to take on Andover Central.
