MHS girls ranked No. 3; boys No. 7

McPherson High’s basketball teams are again ranked this week by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association.

The MHS girls remain No. 3 behind Bishop Miege and Kansas City Piper. Baldwin is behind MHS at No. 4 and Rose Hill rounds out the Top 5.

The remainder of the poll is Circle, Labette County, Andover Central, Abilene and Hays.

The MHS boys are No. 7 this week. Ahead of the Bullpups are Miege, Hays, Ottawa, Basehor-Linwood, Wamego and Eudora. Kansas City Piper is No. 8, followed by Abilene and Buhler.

The Bullpups wrap up the 2016 portion of the schedule tonight at Andover.

The Hesston boys, who lost last Tuesday to Smoky Valley, dropped to No. 2 in Class 3A behind Marysville. The Hesston girls are ranked No. 4, trailing Hugoton, TMP-Marian and Kingman, which defeated the Swathers on Friday. 

Moundridge’s girls remain No. 2 in Class 2A behind Central Plains.
