Circles of McPherson County is looking for a college intern to serve in the non-profit organization at its McPherson location.
The job would initially involve helping out with the logistics of the Thursday night meetings, when as many as 80 people, including 20 to 30 kids, come together for weekly meetings.
But the internship could expand into something more, depending on the intern’s interests and goals. There’s potential for learning about fundraising, for example, or working with children, or developing leadership skills through interaction with the Circles board, all while gaining a first-hand understanding of poverty while working within the framework of a non-profit -- and possibly earning college credit as well.
Circles of McPherson County is one of the most successful sites of the nationwide non-profit organization that seeks to break the cycle of poverty, one family at a time.
