BALDWIN CITY — Baker’s men outscored McPherson College’s basketball team by 6 points in each half on Saturday afternoon to win by a dozen, 85-73.

It was the Bulldogs’ last non-conference game as it’s nothing but KCAC play the rest of the way.

Mac fell to 7-9 overall and takes a 1-7 KCAC mark into next Thursday’s return at York College, which was ranked No. 15 nationally in the most recent poll, but has dropped a couple of non-conference games recently.

The Bulldogs were down 16-6 early, but pulled within 41-35 by halftime. Mac managed to whittle the lead to one, 61-60, but Baker took charge from there.

DeAndre Henson led Mac with 18 points. Aaron Bachura came off the bench for 17 and Chris Crook scored 14. Reed Rowell yanked down 10 rebounds.

Mac (73) — Henson 18, Crook 14, Rowell 9, Raleigh 3, Butler 2, Bachura 17, Gurley 8, Owen 2.

Baker (85) — Parker 18, Martin 15, Bolton 9, Young 6, Easter 2, Guscott 8, Gray 7, Hopson 7, Peter 5, Johnson 4, Elifritz 3, Mick 1.
