Youth baseball camp being offered

The McPherson High baseball team has announced that it will be conducting the Mid-Kansas Winter Baseball Boot Camp for youths in January and February.

This is for young baseball players in grades 1-8. Aspects of the camp are advanced hitting, pitching, fielding, baserunning and catching by some of the best instructors in the area, including McPherson High coach Heath Gerstner.

There is a guaranteed player-coach ratio of 6 to 1, so each player garners plenty of individual instruction. This is great for the youths as they get a tune up before their regular season starts.

You can register now and play later.

Here is the schedule:

• Jan. 15 and Jan. 22 •

1:00-2:00 — Catchers camp (Grades 4-5)

1:00-2:00 — Infielders camp (Grades 5-8)

2:00-3:00 — Catchers camp (Grades 6-8)

2:00-3:00 — Infielders camp (Grades 1-4)

• Feb. 12 and 19 •
