With so much inexperience, McPherson High girls bowling coach Herb Halinksi knows that his team will probably go as far as Alexis Kieffer and Ashley LaSalle take it.

Kieffer and LaSalle are Halinski’s veteran bowlers and they certainly proved to be leaders here Friday by leading the Bullpups to a triangular win at Starlite Lanes.

Kieffer had games of 232 and 213 to key her splendid 639 series, while LaSalle had a 211 to propel her to a 574.

Behind the duo, MHS had a 2,167 total to easily defeat Cheney (1,796) and Andale (1,629).

“They did pretty good, we still have a lot of improvement to do,” Halinski said. “We improved a lot over Wednesday.”

Halinski said Kieffer and LaSalle had performances they need to produce on a regular basis for MHS to be successful.

“Lexi shot a 639 and Ashley a 574, while the others are brand new to the sport,” he said.

MHS goes to Wichita on Saturday for a “Baker” format tournament.
