Central Christian College’s basketball teams make their first home appearance of 2017 on Tuesday at Alexander Arena.
The CCC women will actually be playing their first game of the new year as they host KCAC member Bethany College. The Tiger women went into the holiday break with a 6-6 record. They went the first 12 games with just a seven-player roster, but two more players are expected to join the team for the second half of the season.
This is the first meeting between the teams since 2011. Bethany is 2-0 in the series.
The Swedes are 2-8 in the KCAC and 3-12 overall. They were defeated by Friends 89-48 on Saturday.
The Central men, coming off a huge last-second 86-84 road victory over Bethany last week on a basket by Sam Clayborn, host Kansas Wesleyan at 7:30. The Coyotes outlasted the Tigers 80-73 back in November, but that was just the second game of the season.
The Tigers are 9-5 after an 0-2 start. They are 3-2 all-time against the Coyotes, who are 3-7 in the KCAC and 7-9 overall after losing to Tabor on Saturday.
