Central Christian College’s men’s basketball team will try to stay perfect in its series with Crowley’s Ridge College here tonight.

The teams meet at 7:30 p.m. at Alexander Arena. CCC is 3-0 in the series, having won last year’s meeting 111-75.

Central will be trying to avoid a letdown as it has started the 2017 portion of the schedule with impressive wins over KCAC schools Bethany College and Kansas Wesleyan.

In Tuesday’s 95-79 victory over KW, the Tigers were led by Michael Gholston with 28 points and Daniel Nwosuh with 21.

A women’s game is set for 5:30. Central and Crowley’s Ridge have not met since 2011, when the teams split a pair of games — the only two they have ever played against each other.

The Tiger women are 6-7 on the year after losing their first game of 2017 on Tuesday to Bethany, 74-47. Central currently is without leading scorer Piper Kalthoff due to an eligibility question that is trying to be cleared up. It is unknown when she’ll be back in action.
