EL DORADO — McPherson High’s boys bowling team is starting to put up some big numbers.

Three Bullpups went over 600 in a 2,473-2,238 dual victory over Circle on Tuesday, with the meet in El Dorado.

Clayton Ouellette (640), Taylor Miller (629) and Jeff Reed (603) all broke the 600 barrier. Ouellette had a high of 246, Miller a 226 and Reed a 247.

A fourth Bullpup, Kc Becker, also went over 600 in the JV (633, which included a 236 high game).

The girls lost 1,824-1,764 with Alexis Kieffer leading the way with a 495. She had a 213 high game to lead her series.

“It was a good day for most of the kids,” MHS coach Herb Halinski said. “They really improved on communicating with each other and myself. It was indicated by scores being up.   The last meet was kind of rough, but the team put that behind them and moved forward. We talked about living in the moment and only focusing on what is in front of them at that moment.  It worked. The kids are looking forward to the home meet.”

The Bullpups host El Dorado on Thursday at Starlite Lanes starting at 4 p.m.
