DERBY — A week off obviously didn’t affect the McPherson eighth-grade girls on Thursday.

The undefeated Bullpups made it 10 wins in a row with a 46-13 demolition of Derby.

Grace Pyle led a balanced MMS attack with 16 points.

“The A-team once again came out well in the first quarter, 18-4,” MMS coach Jay Crawford said. “It was nice to see so many players score and that is because we shared the ball. We did miss several shots we have been making and I know those will fall because they were good looks. We have not had our whole team for few games and it really will be nice to be able to practice and work on the things we need to improve on.”

With the win, the Bullpups swept their division and will be the No. 1 seed when the league tournament is contested. MMS will get a first-round bye.

There was no B-game.
