Central Christian College’s men’s basketball team is expected to improve its winning streak to seven on Tuesday when it travels to play Barclay College in Haviland.

The Tigers have been blazing as their 6-0 January start has upped their record to 14-5. They will be trying to complete a season sweep of the Bears, having won 91-53 when the teams met Nov. 22 at Alexander Arena.

Central has won 13 of its last 15 games and was ranked No. 8 nationally in the NCCAA poll last week.

The Tigers are coming off a weekend in which they defeated highly regarded opponents Johnson and Wales and Northern New Mexico.

The CCC women will try to get back to .500 when they take on the Bears in what should be a breather for the 8-9 Tigers. They piled up 101 points in the first meeting as the Bears were overmatched.

Central was 0-2 over the weekend at Alexander Arena, losing to Northern New Mexico and Johnson and Wales.

Game times Tuesday are listed as 5:30 and 7:00.
