Junior Eagle boys sweep Burrton

BURRTON — A hot start propelled the Elyria Christian Junior High boys to a 36-16 rout of Burrton on Monday.

“After a 19-0 start to the game, we were able to give several younger players time on the court,” ECS coach Shawn Stucky said. “The guys played well as a team and showed a very balanced effort.”

Eight players scored, led by Josef Hobson with 9 points, one more than Grant Peters.

Elyria won the B-game 23-17 after holding Burrton without a point in the first quarter. Peters led the way with 10 points.

There was no C-game.
