The School board made an important decision at the January 23 meeting. While currently considering 2 applicants to the board, Lamonte Rothrock and Bryan Kynaston, they made another personell decision to cement Interim Superintendent, Gordon Mohn into a permanent position as Superintendent of Schools for USD 418. Mr. Mohn has been with the district since 2007 as Director of Special Education. Gordon Mohn served in Hillsoboro as Superintendent for 15 years.
The last superintendent resigned in November 2015 and Gordon Mohn has been serving as interim superintendent. The school board chose to assign the position to Mohn, avoiding a costly and time consuming search for a replacement. He has been given a contract to finish this year and has been offered a contract to go through the 2017-2018 school year.
