Classic update: Andale finishes in 7th

Form held true for the ninth straight game of the Mid America Classic on Saturday in the first consolation clash.

No. 6 seed Andale used a big 17-6 fourth quarter to pull away from No. 8 Wichita Southeast 61-48 to take seventh place.

Southeast had played well in the first half to take a 24-21 lead, but Andale started its comeback with a sizzling 23-point third quarter, which was more points than it scored against McPherson in four quarters. The Indians then scored 17 more in the fourth quarter for a 40-point half.

Sophie Easter led Andale with 13 points and Bria Gutschenritter added 10. Sandra Pollard had her second straight quality game for Southeast with 19 points.
