Central Christian College’s basketball teams head to Lawrence on Wednesday to begin a home-and-home series with former MCAC rival Haskell, with the action starting at 5:30 with the women’s game.
The rematches will be on Feb. 16 at Alexander Arena.
For the Central men, they hope February is as good to them as January was. The Tigers went 9-0 to improve to 17-5 overall and they have climbed to No. 6 in the NCCAA national rankings.
Central and Haskell split last year, with each defending its home court.
The Tiger women will be looking to get back to .500 as they are 9-10 after a loss on Monday to Bethel. Haskell has been rough on Central as the Tigers are just 3-19 against the Indians, who have had a strong program for years.
The Tigers have not defeated Haskell since 2010.
