McPherson High’s Austin Eldredge is still the top-ranked 138-pound wrestler in Class 4A by the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association.

Eldredge, who was second last weekend at Rose Hill as he lost in the finals 2-1 to a Derby wrestler, will be competing tonight as the Bullpups host Wellington and Winfield in a double dual.

MHS’ Rhett Edmonson is No. 4 at 106 pounds.

Smoky Valley has two wrestlers ranked as well, Beck Elliott at 182 (No. 5) and Allan Wampler at 195 (No. 6).

Abilene is the No. 1-ranked team. The Bullpups aren’t ranked, but have defeated No. 5 El Dorado, No. 6 Andale and No. 10 Buhler in duals this year.

MHS’ matches tonight start at 5 p.m.
