2 Vikings nab CKL wrestling titles

PRATT — Smoky Valley placed fourth and Hesston eighth this weekend in the Central Kansas League Wrestling Championships.

Pratt won the title with 170 1/2 points to finish just ahead of Hoisington (165).

Other scores were Larned (97), Smoky Valley (89), Nickerson (52), Lyons (52), Hillsboro (33 1/2), Hesston (30) and Halstead (18).

Noah Lackey and Beck Elliott, at 138 and 182, respectively, won championships for Smoky Valley. Matt Whitsitt was second at 160 for Hesston’s highest finish.
