McPherson Middle School’s wrestling team dropped a pair of decisions in double dual action on Thursday.

The Bullpups were defeated 64-31 by Goddard Eisenhower and also were defeated 54-39 by Maize South.

“I thought the kids competed very well against both teams regardless of the scores,” MMS coach Kaden Kretzer said. “We gave up four open weight classes, which set us back 24 points in both of our duals. Wrestling against larger schools can be tough, but the team has shown that they can hang with just about anyone when they step out on the mat.”

Here are the MMS records:

Lorenzo Cruzen, 2-0

Jase Anderson, 0-2

Collin Pearson, 2-0

Landon Vogts, 0-2

Devin Frantz, 1-1
