FORT WORTH, Texas — McPherson College’s baseball team is now sitting at the .500 mark after going 0-3 on a road trip to Texas Wesleyan on Saturday and Sunday.

Mac is 6-6 as it heads to Bethany, Okla., on Tuesday for two games with Southwestern Christian. The Bulldogs had started the year 6-1, but have hit a rough patch.

• Texas Wesleyan 8, Mac 1 — The game was close until Wesleyan pushed across five runs in the fifth inning. The Bulldogs were held to six singles, all by different players.

• Texas Wesleyan 7, Mac 5 — This game went 12 innings as the Bulldogs gave up a two-run walkoff homer to Julian Ibarra. Trevor Haycock and Lane Fleming stroked three hits apiece for the Bulldogs and Dylan Klava added two. The Bulldogs thought they had this one secured, but Wesleyan tied it in the bottom of the seventh with a run.

• Texas Wesleyan 10, Mac 2 — The Rams jumped on Mac early with four runs in the second and three in the third. The Bulldogs had a lot of hits — 9 — but not many in the clutch. Nine different players had the hits, with Jackson Goodmiller and Reily Martin cracking triples.
