GOODWELL, Okla. — Central Christian College’s women were halfway home to a monster basketball upset on Monday.

The Tigers had only five healthy bodies for NCAA Division II Panhandle State and were down only 27-26 at halftime before the Aggies charged back for a 64-51 victory.

The loss doesn’t count on Central’s record since it’s an exhibition.

Abbie Banks led the Tigers with 19 points. Alexa Gonzales added 13 and Kelsey Grimaldo scored 11 as all five CCC players had to play the entire 40 minutes.

Central has one game left in the season as it plays Thursday against Crowley’s Ridge College in Paragould, Ark.

Central (51) — Banks 19, Gonzales 13, Grimaldo 11, Glessner 6, Floyd 2.

Panhandle (64) — Whitaker 12, Munsch 18, Williams 4, Levine 10, Acosta 5, Kelso 6, Regier 2, Mayberry 5, Roberson 2.
