A new exhibit has been unveiled at the McPherson College called “Finding Balance.” The work explores the role of the natural world in artwork.
The exhibit will be on display through March 11.
The work of Leland Powers of Fort Hays State University collaborated with two colleagues to put the exhibit together.
McPherson College invited him to show his work in the college’s Friendship Hall.
Wayne Conyers, the professor of art at McPherson College, said:
“The works in this exhibition explore the spaces that we inhabit, and the experiences that forge our understanding for what is the human condition,”
The show is 46 works ranging in size from smaller than a postcard through taller than a man, and works employ media that include ink, graphic, acrylic, watercolor, lithograph and much more. Be sure to get out to McPherson College to browse the exhibit.
