PARAGOULD, Ark. — A long season ended with a long trip for the Central Christian College women’s basketball team.

Abbie Banks made a career-high 8 3-pointers and scored 28 points, but it wasn’t enough as CCC lost an 83-61 verdict to Crowley’s Ridge College on Thursday.

Central finished the year 9-17 after being 6-6 at the holiday break.

Alexa Gonzales scored 12 points for Central and Rebekah Glessner chipped in with 10.

It was a tough year for CCC, which never had more than seven players available for any game. It had six players available on Thursday. Kelsey Grimaldo was the team’s only senior, but a huge recruiting year is needed to restore the numbers to respectability.

Central (61) — Glessner 10, Gonzales 12, Grimaldo 4, Banks 28, Hearne 7.

Crowley’s Ridge (83) — West 6, Willard 21, Eaker 6, Johnson 9, Burrell 15, Inman 4, McKuin 6, Johnson 2, Martin 2, Spence 12.
