MHS announces summer SPS schedule

McPherson High School has announced the SPS (Speed, Power, Strength) summer program schedule.

This program is open to all students in USD 418 who will be in grades 7-12 this fall. The SPS program is designed to improve speed, power and strength, in addition to reducing injury risk to student-athletes.

High school and middle school students can continue their training throughout the school year by enrolling in one of the SPS programs that are offered.

• BOYS •

• Monday-Wednesday-Friday •

• June •

Start date is June 12.

• Grades 10-12 — 6:15-7:45 a.m.; 7 a.m.-8:30 a.m. or 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m.

• Grade 9 — 8:30-10 a.m.

• Grades 7-8 — 9:30-10:30 a.m.

• July •

No boys SPS July 3-7

• Grades 9-12 — 6:15-7:45 a.m.; 7 a.m.-8:30 a.m. or 5:30 to 7 p.m.

• Grades 7-8 — 8:30-9:30 a.m.

• August •

Last day is Aug. 4

• Grades 9-12 — 6:15-7:45 a.m.; 7 a.m.-8:30 a.m.; 5:30 to 7 p.m.

• GIRLS •

Dates are June 6 to Aug. 4 (no SPS from July 10-14)

• Tuesday-Thursday •

• Grades 10-12 — 7 a.m.-8:30 a.m. (experienced)

• Grades 7-9 — 8:30-9:30 a.m. (beginners)

• Friday •

• Grades 10-12 — 7 a.m.-8:30 a.m. (experienced)

• Grades 7-9 — 8:30-10 a.m. (beginners)
