HILLSBORO — Tabor College’s 10th-ranked baseball team exploded to a 12-0 lead and went on for a 17-7 victory over Central Christian College on Tuesday in a single game.
Tabor jumped on Central for six runs in the first inning and four in the second. The Tigers did have a five-run fifth inning to cut into the deficit.
Hunter Wilcher continues to rake for CCC as he homered and singled, driving in three runs. Kenny Cordova also homered for the Tigers and singled as well.
“We got beat in all aspects of the game today,” CCC coach Derk Kremer said. “We can't expect to play the way we did and win a game. Back to work tomorrow to prepare for this weekend."
Next action for the Tigers, now 6-10, is a road trip to Texas this weekend for two games against Arlington Baptist and a single game against Schreiner University.
