The Bulldogs won the opener 7-0 behind the strong pitching of Christie Betker. The freshman scattered six hits and fanned nine as she has established herself already as the Bulldogs’ ace.

Kortney Jones had a triple and double, driving in three runs to lead the Mac attack. Also with two hits were Jessica Jones, Jasmine Curiel and Taylor Hires-Caulk.

Game 2 went the Bulldogs’ way 6-4 as they had three innings of two runs each.

Kortney Jones stayed on fire by going 4 for 4 with 4 RBIs. Jessica Jones was 3 for 4 and scored 3 runs. Judith Salazar contributed two hits and two RBIs.

The Bulldogs, now 5-8, have a busy weekend coming up as they play five games total on Friday and Saturday in the Friends Tournament.
