LAGUNA VISTA, Texas — Collin Duckworth was Central Christian College’s top male finisher this week in the two-day South Padre Intercollegiate Golf Tournament.
Duckworth struggled to a first-day 81, but came back with a 77 for a 158, which tied for 18th out of 52 players.
The Tigers were ninth as a team, with Texas A & M International taking first. Two players, Steven Martinez of Texas A & M International and Landon Fox of Southwestern, tied with 151s for medalist.
Other CCC scores were Matt Rettinger (82-83-165), Colton Person (88-83-171), Jonathan Kramer (85-88-173) and JP Ray (84-92-176).
The girls had only three finishers as Alexis Briner had to withdraw after the first round. CCC scores were Kari Kirl (82-84-166, good for fourth place individually), Haley Smith (934-97-190) and Taylor Nichols (103-103-206).
