GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — Central Christian College’s baseball team split its two games on Saturday to finish its Texas trip with a 1-2 record.

CCC is now 7-13 on the year. It hosts nationally ranked Tabor College for two games on Tuesday at Light Capital Diamond.

• Central 2, Arlington Baptist 1 — After losing to Arlington 6-1 on Friday, the Tigers returned the favor behind a great pitching effort by Reggie Thomas. He pitched six innings of two-hit baseball and Zane Howard finished up. The Tigers had only three hits themselves, two by Howard.

• Schreiner University 12, Central 5 — Schreiner had back-to-back three-run innings to take control of the game early.

Hunter Wilcher had two RBIs for CCC, while Mario Rivera and Nate Patterson had two hits apiece
