Kline's team makes NCAA D-II tourney

The Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys basketball team has once again earned an at-large bid to the 64-team NCAA Division II Tournament field.

The Wonder Boys are coached by McPherson High graduate Chad Kline, in his fourth season.

Arkansas Tech (22-7) finished third in the Great American Conference, advancing to the semifinals of the postseason tournament. Arkansas Tech will enter the tournament as the seventh seed in the Central Region, with all regional competition to be held at Bearcat Arena in Maryville, Mo.

The Wonder Boys play No. 2 seed Southwest Minnesota State (26-5) in an opening-round matchup. 

Opening-round games will be played on Saturday, March 11, with the regional semifinals to be played on Sunday, March 12, and the championship to be played on Tuesday, March 14.
