Tabor College is the No. 9-ranked NAIA baseball team in the country for a reason.

It can flat-out hit.

The Bluejays outslugged Central Christian College twice on Tuesday, 17-8 and 11-7. The Bluejays hit a whopping 10 home runs in the two games as the wind was blowing out at Light Capital Diamond.

CCC is now 6-14 on the season as it heads down to Texas this weekend for a three-game series with Wayland Baptist.

• Tabor 17, Central 8 — The tone for the day was set early as Tabor led 9-7 after two innings as the pitchers were defenseless.

Hunter Wilcher is on his way to a monumental season for the Tigers as he homered and drove in four runs. Mario Rivera also had two hits for Central. The Bluejays had six homers in the game.

• Tabor 11, Central 7 — The game was tied until the fourth when Tabor posted five runs to take command.

Wilcher continues to carry a hot bat for Central by driving in three runs, while Kenny Cordova knocked in two. Rivera, Caleb Gorman, JD Noey and Nate Patterson all had two hits for the Tigers.
