Central Christian College’s softball team continued to struggle with the bats Thursday in the first round of the McPherson College Invitational at Wall Park.

The Tigers lost 16-1 to Friends and 11-0 to Bethany. Central plays York at noon today in its final game.

Central is still looking for its first win of the year.

• Friends 16, Central 1 — The Tigers received a 3-for-3 game from Rayne Wright, who was the bright spot in an otherwise long game.

The Tigers had a 1-0 lead early, but Friends scored eight runs in the second and five in the third.

• Bethany 11, Central Christian 0 — The Tigers were scuttled as they could manage just two hits, one by Kasi Kraus and the other by Becca Mazur. Alyssa Montoya drove in three runs for the Swedes.
