The bats finally came alive for Central Christian College’s softball team on Friday in the McPherson Invitational, but York College’s were a little louder.

The Panthers overcame a 5-1 deficit for an 11-6 victory. They put up three runs in the third and five in the fourth to take command.

Central finished 0-3 in the two-day tourney.

Mariah Grijalva had two hits to lead Central while top hitter Rayne Wright kept her good season going with two RBIs.

Central is now off for 8 days.
