Central Christian College men's soccer coach Aaron Hoxie has added another local player to his roster for the upcoming 2017-2018 season.
Hoxie's latest addition is Ethan Craig, a senior midfielder from the Wichita Area Homeschool Athletic Association. Ethan played 4 years for the Warriors and coaches Brian Rose and Brent Castillo where he was named KCAA First Team All-Conference as a senior.
The Warriors' coaches said of Ethan, "It was a pleasure coaching Ethan his senior year. He's an intelligent player who can read a game and change the dynamic to earn a win. He has outstanding foot skills, field vision and is as good on defense as he is on the attack. We won 20 games due in large part to Ethan's contributions. Best of all, he has a great attitude and made the team better by just being there."
"Ethan is a versatile player who can cover a multitude of roles on the field,” Hoxie said. "He brings a variety of skills, but his speed is what is noticeable and will be useful right out of the gates. Ethan will also be a part of the music department, once again showing his versatility. I'm excited to have him join the CCC community."
Ethan has been home schooled in the Ad Lucem Academy and will finish up his high school studies this spring with a cumulative grade point average of 3.75. He will join his new teammates in August for preseason training, but he has yet to decide on a major while attending CCC.
He is the son of Mike and Dianne Craig of McPherson. Ethan has strong ties to CCC as both of his brothers played soccer and graduated from CCC and his sister is currently a senior on campus. In addition, both of his parents are on staff at the college. His father is the faculty chair of the Natural Science Departmen, and his mother is the administrative assistant in the Ministry and Theology Department.
