The annual McPherson Spring Instructional Basketball League for boys and girls is being offered once again starting April 2.

McPherson High boys coach Kurt Kinnamon serves as league director.

Fundamentals will be covered including shooting, ballhandling, offensive movement and how to practice on your own. During game situations, on-the-court instruction will be given and the top priority is to make this a learning situation.

Due to KSHSAA rules, only three players who have played on the same school team may play on the same team, so registration for seventh- and eighth-graders is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Sessions will be April 2, 9, 23 and 30. All sessions are one hour long and held at McPherson High School.

Here is the time schedule:

• 1:00 — Coed grades K-3 (8-foot goals will be used)

• 2:00 — Girls grades 4-6; Boys grades 3-5

• 3:00 — Girls grades 7-8; boys grades 6-8

Here are the payments:

• 1 session — $20

• 2 sessions — $35

• 3 sessions — $45

• 4 sessions — $55.

• Note — There is a family fee for all children in all sessions for $100.
