USD 423 Voting Is Open Now

A special Question Election is being held to determine the future of USD 423, in Moundridge. The proposal would set aside 20 million dollars to renovate and improve the High School and Middle School and create a K-12 campus.

To vote on this issue you must be a part of the USD 423 school district.

Early voting has begun.

U.S.D. 423 Moundridge Special Question Election –

Advance election dates:

Starting March 15, 2017 to Noon (12:00) April 3, 2017 at McPherson County Courthouse – County Clerk’s Office weekdays 8:00 am to 5:00.

Polling Site Election held at Northridge Community Center – 612 N Christian, Moundridge, KS – Polls Open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

U.S.D. 423 Moundridge Special Question Election -

Shall the following be adopted?

Shall Unified School District No. 423, McPherson County, Kansas (Moundridge), issue general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $20,995,000,

to pay the costs to construct, furnish and equip:

(a) additions at the existing site of the high school and middle school to create a K-12 campus;

(b) renovations and improvements to existing District facilities, including but not limited to energy efficiency/HVAC, security, technology, infrastructure, roof, windows, parking lot, site improvements and building renovations, and asbestos/mold abatement;

(c) improvements to the District’s athletic facilities, including a new gymnasium and renovations to the District’s existing high school and middle school gymnasium; and

(d) all other necessary improvements appurtenant thereto (collectively the “Project”);

and to pay costs of issuance and interest on said general obligation bonds during construction of the Project;

all pursuant to the provision of K.S.A. 10- 101 et seq., K.S.A 25-2018(f), K.S.A. 72-6761, and K.S.A. 75-2315 et seq.?
