LINDSBORG — Central Christian College’s baseball team stunned KCAC member Bethany College with a six-run second inning, which was the impetus for a 10-8 victory over the Swedes in a single game played on Wednesday.
The Tigers pounded out 13 hits in the contest. Zane Howard had a big game with four RBIs, while Hunter Wilcher was 3 of 4. Kenny Cordova and Shomari Cann added two hits and Mario Rivera drove in two runs as the Tigers received contributions up and down the lineup.
Robert Eakin, Daniel Blanco-Perez and Dalton Biden all drove in two runs for the Swedes.
Bryan Scott picked up the win for Central, which improved to 10-20. Bethany fell to 17-13.
The two teams hook up again today, but this time the venue is Light Capital Diamond. First pitch is 3:00 for the single, nine-inning game.
