Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will celebrate the opening of the I-135/Mohawk Road Interchange with a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, April 4, 1:30 p.m., on the Interchange bridge.
The project, which benefits the City of McPherson, is a part of the efficient and safe freight transportation network along Interstate 135.
The I-135/Mohawk Road Interchange provides access to the expanding McPherson industrial area, provides semi-truck traffic a more direct route and bypasses city streets.
“The Mohawk Interchange will both feed into the industrial park and give access to the community on the north side,” noted David Greiser, KDOT public affairs manager.
The Mohawk Interchange was completed in 14 months as scheduled.
