A summer staple on the McPherson youth sports scene is the Victory Soccer Camp at Central Christian College.

The camp is scheduled to be held for a 22nd straight year as Central will be partnering with the McPherson Recreation Commission May 29-June 2 at the Tiger Soccer Field.

Aaron Hoxie, CCC men’s soccer coach, is serving as camp director.

This is for boys and girls ages 6-18. According to Hoxie, the camp is "to create a soccer camp that is faith-based with quality instruction and a dedication to teaching players this wonderful game."

CCC and the MRC formerly ran separate camps that sometimes conflicted. Three years ago the two groups decided to partner together in an effort to provide one quality camp that would impact the highest number of youth soccer players in McPherson and the surrounding communities.

The camp will be staffed by current CCC head and assistant coaches Hoxie, Scott Fogarty, Enrique Barreiro, Emiliano Gross and Scott Troutman, McPherson High head coach Chris Adrian, and a few current and former CCC players.
