KSHSAA announces regional track and field sites

McPherson High and Smoky Valley’s track and field teams will be competing in the Buhler Class 4A regional meet on Friday, May 19.

Other teams on hand will be Abilene, Chapman, Clay Center, Colby, Concordia, Goodland, Hays, Holcomb, Larned, Nickerson, Pratt, Scott City and Ulysses.

Hesston will make a long trip to Russell for a 3A event. Other teams are Beloit, Ellsworth, Hoisington, Trinity Catholic, Lyons, Marion, Marysville, Minneapolis, Norton, Phillipsburg, Riley County, Southeast of Saline, Sterling and Thomas More Prep.

Moundridge and Canton-Galva will be involved in a 2A regional at Herington. Completing the field are Berean Academy, Central-Burden, Chase County, Flinthills, Hillsboro, Bluestem-Leon, Northern Heights, Oswego, Oxford, Sedan, Udall, West Elk and Yates Center.

Inman goes to a 2A meet at Johnson. Rounding out the field are Elkhart, Ellinwood, Kinsley, Kiowa County, Leoti, Macksville, Meade, Medicine Lodge, Ness City, Pratt Skyline, St. John, Spearville, Stanton County and Sublette.

Little River and Elyria Christian School will be together in a Class 1A regional at Burlington. Joining them will be Altoona-Midway, Argonia, Burrton, Caldwell, Cedar Vale, Central Christian, Centre, Chetopa, Colony Crest, Dexter, Goessel, Hamilton, Hartford, Lebo, Madison, Marais des Cygnes, Olpe, Peabody, St. Paul, South Haven, Southern Coffey County and Waverly.
