During the week of April 10-14, libraries around the country, including the McPherson Public Library, will be celebrating National Library Week. The week, first recognized in 1958, is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. All types of libraries - school, public, academic and special - participate.
McPherson Public Library has a full slate of activities planned in recognition of the week.
Monday, April 10 - Mayor’s official proclamation.
Wednesday, April 12 - Cookie and Coffee Day. 9:00 - 7:30.
Thursday, April 13 – Book Crafts, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Old books will be repurposed into fun and unique crafts. Registration is required for this event. Please call the library at 245-2570 to reserve a spot.
Friday, April 14 - Wireless 1-on-1 with Nex-Tech Wireless, 11:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.Call the library to sign up for an individual 15 minute session with a Nex-Tech representative, who will help trouble shoot technology issues. Registration is required. A light lunch will be provided. Registration is required and space is limited, so call the library at 245-2570 to reserve a spot today.
