Duckworth, Kirl lead CCC golfers

HUTCHINSON — Central Christian College’s Collin Duckworth was the low Tiger Monday in the Midwest Spring Fling Golf Tournament contested at Cottonwood Hills.

Duckworth shot a 76 in his first 18 and then came back with an 82 for a 158 total. He tied for 19th.

Other scores for the Tigers were Lowell Stephens (86-82-168), JP Ray (88-82-170), Jonathan Kramer (95-83-178) and John Browning (91-89-180).

Alistair Snowdown of Murray State College and Landon Fox of Southwestern were low with 145s. Snowdon shot 72-73 and Fox fired 71-74.

Central had two women compete as individuals in the 18-hole division. Kari Kirl tied for 10th with a 90 and Haley Smith was 18th with a 103.

Trae Jones of Embry Riddle and Wendy Monfort of Bellevue tied for the low score with 78s.
